The Achieve program is entering its third year here at Spero Academy. The primary focus of Achieve is to help our children gain confidence and build academic skills. Throughout the time in Achieve, these students will be working on their IEP goals while promoting independent task completion. We will be monitoring their success by tracking data daily and assessing each child twice a year. We will be pulling the students each day for 30 minute sessions. Our main goals in Achieve are to support each student as they work toward their IEP goals, and to further their independence. We will be working closely with their therapists and teachers here at school to create curriculum that will be most relevant to their needs.

Hello! My name is Ali Fisch and I am a member of the Achieve team here at Spero Academy. I went to college at Saint Mary’s University where I received a BA in Theatre Arts. Since then, I have worked in the human services field, working with adults and children as a PCA. I have worked here at Spero Academy for 5 years and have loved my time here. When I’m not working, I like to spend my time playing with my band or seeing music and comedy shows with my boyfriend.

My name is Jodi Butscher, and this is my fourth year at Spero. This is my second year with Achieve, and the last three years before that I was a paraprofessional in the 4/5 classroom. I am originally from the small town of Kenyon, Minnesota. I attended Luther College where I played one of my favorite sports, rugby! I enjoy spending time with my husband, sports, cooking, and crocheting. I am excited for the upcoming year!
