Grade Level 6
Hi. I'm Susan Zondlo and I'm very excited to start the school year with your students. This is my 7th year at Spero, and my 23nd year in education. My experience includes students pre-K through 8th grade, with all different abilities and ethnic backgrounds. I believe in educating the whole child by working through academic, behavioral, social and emotional challenges. All children have the potential to be even greater than they already are and I hope to help make that difference this year. Additionally, I am the main teacher liaison for the Parent Teacher Group that meets monthly and works to support the school through fundraising, planned activities and events, as well as pop-up surprises for staff and students throughout the year. We are always in need of more parents and guardians to lend their thoughts, time and talents. Please let me know if you are interested.
This year, I will be teaching 6th grade. We will be joining most all 6th grade students during morning meeting, physical education, music, social skills, regulation, recess, lunch, science, social studies and art. A few students may also push-in or push-out during reading and math too. This allows all the students to get to know each other, have their specific academic needs met and get to know the other teachers and paraprofessionals.
Aside from teaching, I am fiercely dedicated to my family and friends, spending lots of time with them whenever I can. I have a grown son who is my true pride and joy as well. I also enjoy reading, biking, walking my dogs (I have 3 of them!), monthly book club with my best childhood girlfriends, watching movies and cheering for the Minnesota Twins and the Green Bay Packers.
Please never hesitate to contact me with anything you need, or need me to know. I will always do my best to get back to you sometime during the day or early evening. Email works best, but you can always call.
