Katie Rose Kammerude

Greetings and welcome to Miss Kammerude’s ASR 4 classroom! This will be my 9th school year here at Spero Academy. I have been working in education for the last 12 years with early childhood and elementary school students. Here at Spero, I have taught 1st grade, Kindergarten, PLS 2, ASR 5 and ASR 6. I am excited to continue our learning and growing from last year!

My goal this year is to continue to provide students with the skills and abilities they will need to continue their success into the future in middle school. Due to the pandemic, we will start the school year off with distance learning and will continue to build on our skills from last year and continue to have lessons daily as well as social times for us to continue to grow socially and emotionally. As always, our classroom will be collaborative, welcoming and encouraging for every student! 

I have been happily married to my husband Brad for 5 years. We live in Newport, MN with our 2 cats, Daenerys and Luna. My husband and I enjoy traveling and spending time with our 3 nieces. 

During my free time I like to: create modern embroidery, read like a retired person (averaging 150 books per year), go to the theater, serve on various committees and boards in education and in my small town!
