Kat Rick, M.S., CCC-SLP

Hi, my name is Kat Rick. I earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Virginia and obtained a master’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. 

I began working at Spero Academy-Brooklyn Park in 2022. Prior to Spero, I worked with students in a transitional education program (ages 18-21) and supported a therapeutic Pre-K classroom. I love the collaborative environment at Spero and am most passionate about building students’ functional communication and self-advocacy skills. 

Beyond work, I enjoy going on outdoor adventures and spending time with my husband, three sons, and our german shepherd mix. My other hobbies include running, gardening, and playing soccer.
