Julie Windholz, MT-BC, NMT

I grew up in North Dakota and graduated from the University of North Dakota becoming a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) in 2012. In 2023, I also completed additional certification in music and neurological research and am now a Neurologic Music Therapist as well (NMT). I started piano when I was 4 and also play clarinet and guitar! I have been a dancer my whole life and will often engage students in dancing during music classes. Prior to coming to Spero Academy in 2022, I spent 10 years in the medical field as a hospice music therapist working with patients and families during the dying process and assisting with funeral music. When I'm not at school I'm spending time with my husband Luke, daughter Finley, and two dogs Gracie and Hope.
