Hello and welcome to the 2025–26 school year at Spero Academy! This year marks Spero Academy’s 22nd school year, and we are excited to welcome nearly 300 students across both campuses, along with many dedicated staff members.

I have been with Spero Academy since 2004 and have served as Executive Director since August 2020. I love working at Spero Academy and believe deeply in our mission to ensure every child feels valued and supported—a cornerstone of our students’ success.

As the Executive Director, I oversee all financial, operational, academic, and policy functions of the school. I report directly to the SA School Board, and am accountable to our Authorizer, The University of St. Thomas as well as the Minnesota Department of Education. I rotate between campuses, typically at Brooklyn Park on Mondays and Wednesdays, and at NE Minneapolis on Tuesdays and Thursdays, alternating Fridays between both.

This school year will be my final year as Executive Director, as I plan to retire in June 2026. The Spero Academy Board has already begun the process of determining steps to select our next school leader, and details will be shared in future newsletters. In the meantime, I remain committed to supporting our students, staff, and families in every way possible.
