Diane Pangal

I am the Executive Director at Spero Academy(SA). I have been with SA since we opened in 2004. While at
SA, I have enjoyed working as a paraprofessional as well as in the Operations Department. I moved into the Executive Director role in September of 2020.

The 2023-2024 school year will be our 20th year of operation and I am thrilled at how Spero Academy has
evolved and grown over the years. I believe in our Mission to serve students throughout the Twin Cities and
provide them with the opportunity to access their education through our individualized programming. In
addition, our SA students have the privilege of being supported by our amazing staff. I am honored to work
with such a wonderful team of educated, passionate, and caring individuals.

As the Executive Director, I oversee all financial, operational, academic, and policy functions of the school. I report directly to the SA School Board, and am accountable to our Authorizer, The University of St. Thomas as well as the Minnesota Department of Education.
I split my week between both of our campuses. Typically, Monday and Wednesdays I am at our Brooklyn Park Campus, Tuesday and Thursday at our Minneapolis Campus, and Fridays are dependent on campus need.

I am looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces as we start our 2023-24 school year and can not wait to see what this year brings!
