Physical Education

Spero Academy offers Physical Education daily throughout the year including a Health curriculum and D.A.P.E. Services. The goal in Physical Education class at Spero Academy is to teach the entire child through fine and gross motor skills. These include: movement skills, object control skills, physical fitness, and individual/group activities. At Spero Academy we really want to focus on social development within the P.E. setting on a daily basis. We promote healthy eating and staying active throughout their educational experience.

Hi, my name is Chris Hugo.  I am excited to begin my first year teaching at Spero Academy.  Prior to teaching at Spero, I taught one year of Elementary PE in Altoona, Wisconsin.  I am excited to provide students with the opportunities and experiences necessary to develop both the knowledge and skills necessary for achieving and enjoying a physically active lifestyle.  Students in my class can expect to be engaged in enjoyable, inclusive, and ability-appropriate activities that set the framework for lifelong physical fitness.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me vie email or phone and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

A fun fact about me: I have ran a half-marathon, a full marathon, and a relay-marathon.
